Áine is a one-woman slow fashion brand aiming to create unique denim pieces that can be worn by anyone.

She draws inspiration from her Graduate Collection which was about the fast fashion industrys impact on marine life, creating a new relationship between fish and plastic. This collection featured screen print, bold pattern cutting, upcycled plastic and lots of topstitching!

When moving forward with her ready to wear collection called 'Tidal', Áine made sure to keep the main features from her Grad Collection, like the silhouettes. For example, the Sunfish jeans are an exact copy of her Press Piece trousers, minus the screen print and embellishments. She opted for an electric blue topstitching to make these jeans wearable for everyday life. 

The functionality and wearability of garments holds extreme importance to Áine as she wants her pieces to be worn and loved for a lifetime. From start to finish Áine prioritises the quality and comfort of each piece of clothing. Throwaway trends and badly made clothes are very uncool, so invest in clothes that are made with care and intention without hurting anyone in the process.
